Kayak experts from Kenco and reps from our kayak companies will be on hand to guide you to your perfect kayak. Try different types of kayaks right on the Hudson River, so you can really get a feel for what makes each kayak different.
Plus, try out the latest craze: stand up paddleboards. Kenco will be offering great discounts and show specials on kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, racks and accessories. Take a look at our deal boats available now. For specials on accessories, check out our Kayak Festival Specials.
Join Kingston's Mayor Steve Noble, or KC from Kingston Parks and Rec, on a guided kayak tour. Kayaks, paddles, PFDs will be provided. There will also be various clinics, lessons and demonstrations. Test paddle kayaks from Wilderness Systems, Dagger, Perception, Hurricane, NuCanoe, Jackson and more. We'll also have Slipstream at the store on Sunday to demo their customizable, handbuilt canoes on our pond.
Following are some of the organizations and businesses that make this a great event!
Kingston Parks and Recreation: Julie Noble and KC Keegan Twombly, environmental educators, along with Kevin Gilfeather, head of the Kingston Parks and Recreation, have put together awesome programs to connect youth and adults with nature, including hiking snowshoeing, birding and of course kayaking.
ADK (Mid-Hudson Chapter): The Adirondack Mountain clubs local chapter is a group of outdoor enthusiasts who have a passion for outdoor pursuits and help others to safely learn how to enjoy the many activates their group offers including Kayaking.
Kingston Paddle Pals: is an awesome meet up group of paddlers and other outdoor activities.
US Coast Guard Auxiliary: Bring your own kayak or canoe for a free US Coast Guard Vessel Safety Check. Members of the USCG Auxiliary will also be giving out boat ownership stickers.
Sandi's Build-a-Dog will be at the festival offering food at a reasonable cost. There will be vegetarian options.
