National Trails Day Hike

National Trails Day Hike June 1

American Hiking Society's National Trails Day Cleanup Hike
June 1st 9am

Meet us at the Onteora Lake Trailhead off of Route 28 at 9am for a fun hike and trail cleanup - bring a garbage bag to pick up any litter you find and leave the trail better than you found it! After the hike, we'll meet back at the store for lunch and a chance to pick the brains of our resident camping and hiking experts on everything from gear and techniques to the best trails and campsites for your adventuring.

Taking place on the first Saturday in June, National Trails Day® is a day of public events aimed at advocacy and trail service. Tens of thousands of hikers, bikers, paddlers, horseback riders, trail clubs, federal and local agencies, land trusts, and businesses come together in partnership to advocate for, maintain, and clean up public lands and trails.

As part of the National Trails Day celebration, American Hiking Society will be giving away 4 prize packs loaded with great gear from generous sponsors. To enter, take the National Trails Day Pledge to leave the trails and your outdoor community better than you found them. Included in the prize packs are:
